About Phuket
Phuket province has an area of 576 km2 (222 sq mi), somewhat less than that of Singapore, and is the second-smallest province of Thailand. The island was on one of the major trading routes between India and China, and was frequently mentioned in foreign ships' logs of Portuguese, French, Dutch, and English traders, but was never colonised by a European power. It formerly derived its wealth from tin and rubber and now from tourism.

Phuket is the largest island in Thailand. It is located in the Andaman Sea in southern Thailand. The island is mostly mountainous with a mountain range in the west of the island from the north to the south. The mountains of island form the southern end of the island mountain range, which ranges for 440 kilometres (270 mi) from the Kra Isthmus.

Attractions Phuket :
Phuket Old Town
Lively Phuket Old Town is known for brightly painted, century-old Sino-Portuguese townhouses, with a well-preserved row along Soi Rommanee. Main street Thalang Road has stores selling artisanal ice cream and batik fabrics and a Sunday market for souvenirs and fabulous street food. The Thai Hua Museum features exhibits on Chinese immigrant culture, and Jui Tui Shrine displays colorful statues of Chinese gods.

Kamala Beach
This beautiful, curved sandy beach on Phuket Island may seem very private, but it's also a paradise for tourists, especially foreigners. Kamala Beach is a popular destination for international travelers. A world-class beach club is located on Kamala Beach. The waves are strong enough for windsurfing, and you'll often see foreigners in swimsuits playing on the beach. In short, it's a paradise for international tourists.
Bangtao Beach
Bang Tao Beach is one of the longest beaches in Phuket, halfway between Phuket airport and Patong Beach on the island’s west coast and part of the Cherngtalay area.
With such a beautiful stretch of sand, it’s no surprise why Bangtao has become the home of some of the largest and most luxurious resorts on the island.  Bangtao is also where you can find dozens of local Thai restaurants and beach clubs right on the beach and eat or drink with your feet in the sand.
